The Cozy Pineapple is a Soehnle Authorized Retailer

Wilhelm Soehnle was born in 1844. He began studying metal working in his father’s workshop at the age of sixteen. Afterwards, he moved abroad and later completed a 3 year training in metal working and mechanics in Stuttgart. As was customary in those times, he went travelling after passing his journeyman’s examination. In 1868 he began his first production center where he produced scales among other things.

Not only did Wilhelm Soehnle show off his merchandise at the 1881 National Trade Exhibit in Stuttgart, but he also received his first award. The ‘Schwaebische Merkur’ reported that because of the “Horizontal placing with plumb bob". Wilhelm Soehnle’s Bruekenwaage was cutting edge technology.

In 1991 6 million scales were produced – a new production record. 1992 the 100 millionth Soehnle scale to be produced since the factory was founded in Murrhardt was manufactured. Production had grown 10 fold in 21 years.
